Description
Set amidst the wooded slopes of the Apuan Alps, I Romiti del Torrente is an art and tourist center located within an ancient Augustinian monastery.
A unique and enchanting place, suitable for those who love contact with nature, ideal for those who want to find creative inspiration or simply for those who like to retreat to pure tranquility and beauty.
The origins of this structure date back to Roman times which, thanks to its strategic location, became a fortified guard post for the Roman army.In the following centuries it established itself as a hermitage of great importance and in the 20th century, after losing these functions, it was restored by local craftsmen until it reached the majesty and uniqueness of now.
Thanks to an artist couple, Steven and Lindsay this structure has been made an ideal location to create a true art and community gathering center.
Today, numerous classes such as cooking, ceramics, and glassmaking for beginners and non-beginners are conducted, all aided by the facility's strategic location.
Near the historic center of Fabbriche di Vallico there is the possibility of taking advantage of numerous services that allow the sharing of all the natural beauty that this country offers.
