To apply for the issuance or renewal of the Identity Card it is necessary to make an appointment as depending on the citizen's need this can be issued at the Fabbriche di Vallico office or at the branch office in Vergemoli.

To make an appointment you can call 0583761944 extension 4, on Mondays/Tuesdays/Thursdays/Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on Mondays and Wednesdays also from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. or by emailing info@comune.fabbrichedivergemoli.lu.it

ID cards can be renewed from 6 months prior to expiration.

It is not necessary to apply for a new ID card in case of change of address, marital status, educational qualification or profession.

As of May 2, 2018, only and exclusively electronic ID cards (CIE) are issued. Issuance is not immediate, as the CIE is printed at the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, which ships it to the address of residence within 6 working days.

The required documentation for Italian citizens of legal age is: the old ID card subject to withdrawal or report for loss made to the police, 1 recent passport photo (not older than 6 months) and the health card.

The required documentation for parents with minor children, not cohabiting, unmarried, divorced or separated, European Union Citizens over 18, Citizens of Third States over 18, Italian Citizens under 18, and European Union Citizens or Citizens of Third States under 18 will be communicated directly by the Registry Office Manager when booking the appointment according to the specific case.

The cost for the issuance of the Identity Card is euro 22.00 when it is issued for the first time or renewed upon expiration, and euro 27.00 when a duplicate is requested due to loss or deterioration. In case the request for duplicate is motivated by theft, it is possible to pay the basic fee of euro 22.00 by submitting the theft report made to the police.

Payment is made directly at the registry office in cash.

Bulky waste disposal service is provided free of charge (up to 3 pieces or 2 cubic meters) by the company ASCIT Spa. Simply request pickup by calling 800942951 or 800146219.

As for R.A.E.E. waste (waste from electrical and electronic equipment), it should be picked up by the stores from which new equipment is purchased. In the case of scrapping without purchasing a new good, in the case of large equipment (refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, etc.), the waste will be picked up following the same procedures as bulky waste.

The IMU declaration must be submitted by June 30 of the year following the year in which possession of the property began or changes occurred that affect the IMU payment.

A new submission is not required for each year if there are no changes.

The paper ID card is issued only for real and documented needs due to:

- health reasons: appropriate documentation must be submitted proving the inability to travel to municipal offices;

- travel reasons: the citizen must attach a copy of the travel ticket, or reservation or other suitable documentation to document the upcoming trip;

- electoral consultation: the interested party must declare for which electoral consultation the urgent issuance of the identity document is requested;

- participation in public contest or public competition: the interested party should declare to which type of proceeding the urgent need to provide for the issuance of the paper ID is related.

The cost is 5.00 euros to be paid directly at the registry office in cash.
